Venables Café

Uprising Breads Bakery has been baking great tasting bread and honey-sweetened goodies at its Venables Street location in Vancouver for over 30 years now.

And while we’ve added a second Bakery Café on West Broadway at Balaclava, the original spot on Venables is still our home base. There’s a cheerful buzz going on throughout the day, with people stopping in from far and wide to enjoy our freshly made sandwiches, homemade soups and satisfying goodies and great coffee from Salt Spring Coffee. Leave the lunch box at home – we serve it fast and fresh … and at the right price.

Our year-round patio is open rain or shine. It’s a perfect place to escape whenever you have a few minutes. But even if the weather puts you off, you’ll can always find a warm spot inside the Café. Sharing a table is always encouraged – hey, you never know who you might meet!

Between errands, after a weekend cycle, or meeting a friend for a quick chat … plan to pause at Uprising Breads Bakery Café on Venables to relax and refuel.
