Uprising Breads Bakery does have a daily program in place to respond to the many requests we receive for donations of product. We refer to this program as “Donation at Close”

We are particularly interested in providing assistance to groups involved with local poverty issues and make standing bulk donations to The Quest Society and The Vancouver Food Bank.

Our “Donation at Close” program provides bread (some baked goods occasionally) to the group of the day and works as follows: in the last week of each month we begin to accept donation requests for the following month’s donation at close calendar.

To get on the calendar we must first receive a fax from your group requesting a donation. The maximum for any group is two donations per month. Please follow up your fax with a phone call to Don or Claudio (they will not call you). Even regular donations must be set up again for each calendar month.

You will be asked to show up at the bakery just before we close at 7pm (6pm Sat and Sun) to pick up your donation. We do not require a charitable tax receipt.
